Shun Corruption and Violence, Ningi Urges Politicians

Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, has called on the political class in the country to shun corruption, violence and other related problems that could further heat up the already tense polity and stagnate the present administration’s drive for rapid socio-economic and infrastructural development of the nation.
Ningi, in a Christmas message to Nigerians made available to THISDAY in Bauchi yesterday, preached the need for politicians to eschew party politics, and embrace national-interest politics, in order for the leader in power to successfully move the nation forward.
He emphasized the need for all Nigerians, irrespective of their ethno-religious and political backgrounds continue “to engage in such actions and activities that will further unite us rather than divide us as an indivisible entity.”
He urged Nigerians, particularly Christians, to use the occasion of the Christmas celebration to offer special prayers for peace, unity and national stability.
