Chairman, Senate Committee on
Environment and Ecology, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Tuesday in a statement
in Abuja to mark the Christmas celebration urged Nigerians to remain strong and
optimistic despite the plethora of challenges confronting the nation. He urged
Nigerians to emulate Jesus Christ by sharing with their neigbours at Christmas.
Saraki said: "I rejoice with our
Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria and all over the world on this happy
occasion of Christmas. "As we celebrate, it is imperative to reflect on
the events that have defined us as people as it relates with the teachings of
Christ - the reason for the season”.
