Importance of a unique domain name.

·         A domain name gives your business a level of professionalism and legitimacy you simply can't get from a social media profile. While the process of domain name registration is easier and more affordable than most people realize, taking the time to register a domain shows a level of commitment and dedication. In short, it shows customers that you're serious about your business.
·         A domain name also gives you a secret weapon in marketing your business: a domain-based email address, like you@yourcompany.com. What makes this so special? 5 Reasons You Should Start Eating Onions

Cardiovascular Benefits
There is evidence that sulfur compounds found in onion work in an anti clotting capacity and help prevent the unwanted clumping together of blood platelet cells. There is also evidence showing that onion’s sulfur compounds can lower blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides and improve cell membrane function in red blood cells as well. The benefits of onion in the overall dietary context extend to prevention of heart attack. The outstanding flavonoid content of onions supports these research findings.
Bone and connective tissue benefits
Human studies have shown that onion can help increase your bone density and may have special benefit on women of menopausal age who are experiencing loss of bone density. Plus, there is evidence that women who have passed the age of menopause may be able to lower their risk of hip fracture through daily eating of onions.  In this research on bone density in older women, very rare eating of onion like once a month or less did not provide much benefit. Daily consumption of onion boosts benefits for bone density. So do not skimp on onions when you are incorporating them into your diet plan. The high sulfur content of onions may provide direct benefits to your connective tissue as many of your connective tissue components require sulfur for their formation.

Anti inflammatory benefits

This allium vegetable has nevertheless been shown to provide important anti inflammatory response. A unique sulfur molecule found in the bulb portion of the onion has been shown to inhibit the activity of macrophages- specific white blood cells that play a major role in your immune system and one of their defense activities is the triggering of large scale inflammatory responses. Onion’s antioxidants provide you with anti inflammatory sources. These antioxidants help prevent fatty acids oxidation in your body. When you have lower levels of oxidized fatty acids, your body produces fewer inflammatory messaging molecules and your level of inflammation is kept in check.
Cancer protection
Onion has been shown to lower the risk of several cancers, even when you consume it in only moderate amounts. Colorectal, laryngeal and ovarian cancers are the types for which risk is reduced along with moderate amounts of dietary onion. Do not err on the side of small onion servings or infrequent onion intake if you want to obtain the full cancer related benefits of this veggie. Try to include at least one whole onion in the recipe. In terms of individual portion sizes when you sit down to eat, try to consume the equivalent of half onion.
Other health benefits
Onions have shown potential for improvement of blood sugar balance, help prevent bacterial infection. Along with sulfur compounds, the flavonoid quercetin found in onion helps provide these antibacterial benefits. Some studies suggest that length of storage for onion that has been chopped but not cooked and duration of heat exposure in this case involving exposure to steam for ten minutes can affect some of onion’s health benefits. For these reasons, special care is needed in the storage, handling and cooking of this vegetable.
Just to add to it. No wonder my lil' daughter loves it.

What hope for the Nigerian Child???

Children, like the Holy Bible said are “Gifts from God”, but the present situation in Nigeria and the World over doesn’t depict this at all.
The way children are being born by single mothers, whose men refused to take responsibility for is quite alarming. If these men very well know they are not ready for this kind of responsibility, why not quit impregnating ladies who will end up bringing forth a bastard child to the World and causing heartaches in the process.
I am writing this because of my encounter with numerous fatherless kids roaming the streets of Nigeria, but this particular one caught my attention.
Yesterday, while on my way home from work. A street kid met me for arms and this is the conversation that ensued.
Street Kid: Abeg Sir gee me money make I take chop. My mama go market and she no keep anything for house. I dey work for car wash, but no money.
Me: Why you go dey work at this age?
Street Kid: Nooo! I still dey go school o.
Me: So you dey go school, that’s good. But where ur papa?
Street kid: I no get papa.
This single answer signaled the end of our conversation. How terrible???
Most definitely his mum is a single mother, who was impregnated by one arrant guy who can’t hold his zippers.
Now see what single parents give rise to. Tomorrow the boy will impregnate a lady and abscond because he has been made to believe that a man should not stand by his responsibility. How can you blame him either, he knows no better. What a shame!
If only adults will learn to act responsibly and stop this arrant frolicking about with sex, half of the Worlds problems will be solved. When the family structure is shaky then what hope for the kids?

Help!!! My Friend Wants Me to House His Sisters

Dear LIB readers, Please I need advice and quick. My predicament goes like this, I am a married man living far away in Benin from his wife and family. I work in Benin and my wife works in Lagos.
I stay alone and my friend and colleague, who has been housing me for some time until I got my place, wants me to house his two matured and single sisters. The reasons are, One, because he intends bringing a wife into his house and by right it is not proper for a newly married man to have his sisters living with him. Two, because he doesn’t have enough cash to pay for a house and also cater for his wedding plans.
He has approached me on this issue and I have refused to give him a clear answer yet, though I know that what he wants from me is wrong.

Don’t get me wrong, I am really touched that he trusts me this much with his beautiful sisters, but this trust is far misplaced.
Awaiting your advice. Thanks in advance.

A Married Man Should Not Be Friends with a Single Woman.

Check out this article i saw on the internet. Makes alot of sense, don't it? Enjoy your read!

Most married men tend to develop friendships in the work place with single women which can lead to an affair. All the married women out there must agree with the fact their husbands spends the majority of their time at work. Some married women are clueless as to where and what their husbands are doing at work.
Married women have no control over what their husbands do at work. We have to trust our husbands and hope for the best right? The truth is men are men. I know that is no excuse but this is our reality. If there are attractive women in the work place and he is spending a lot of time at work with these women, there is a strong possibility they will become intimate.
In my previous company, it was sad to see a few of the married men in the office becoming too friendly with the single ladies in the office. Some of them were sleeping with each other because of the friendships they developed while working long hours in the office together. One of the Directors had an affair with one of his Sales Representative. I remember when his wife came to visit him with their son and the woman he was having an affair with was also in the same room. His wife and the woman already knew each other through company holiday parties. That was a very uncomfortable situation. When I witnessed the behavior that was taking place, I could not help to wonder, if my husband was behaving the same way in his company.
I know back in the 1950’s and 1960’s it was very common for the boss to sleep with his secretary while the wife was oblivious to her husband’s indiscretion. Sorry to say this is still happening now. There is nothing the wives can do to stop it.
It would be so great if only these single women who are working with these married put there foot down and decline the offer to go out to lunch when asked by a married man. When he starts to make advances towards the woman, she has to push him away and say to him, “You are a married man and you should respect the vows you made to your wife.” When I was a single woman working in advertisement as an Account Executive, married men made advances towards me in the work place, but I never entertained the thought to get involved. I remember telling one of them to “respect his wife and children and do right by them.” If women would say and mean those words, men would not have the opportunity to cheat.

The bottom line is married men have no business trying to become friends or make new friends with single women. It can lead to breaking up a stable home. Your wife should be your friend not another woman. I understand some women and men may think they can be friends without any intimacy. However, they are forgetting when you share too much with the opposite sex you are becoming intimate with them. The worst thing a married man can ever do is talk about his marriage to another woman who he thinks is only a friend. The moral thing to do is to avoid developing a friendship with married men. It is not worth the heartache.

Bini Language in Danger of Extinction

THE Esogban of Benin Kingdom, Chief David Edebiri on Tuesday, raised alarm over what he described as the likely extinction of the Bini language in the nearest future, if urgent steps were not taken to address the problem.
In recognition of this problem, the Benin Forum, an umbrella body of all Benin people, has decided to hold a summit next month with a view to address the problem.
He also intends to use same forum to present his book, A Compendium of some memo-rable statements, scheduled for November 30 in Benin, he explained that the book will give historical background about the true story of Benin histories.
He added that the proceeds from the book presentation would be used to set up a non-governmental organisation, called "A Clinic for the Bini Historical Development," which according to him will help sustain the language and history of Benin Kingdom.
Great thinking Chief, not only the Bini language that is being threatened with extinction, all our local languages are too because of westernization (which is not a bad thing).
Another good idea will be to introduce these local languages in school curriculum's.

Aviation Minister escapes assassination attempt

In a very curious twist of events, that is bound to generate more controversy, there has been an attempt on the life of Nigeria's Aviation Minister, Princess Stella Oduah. The confirmation came from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Femi Ogunbayode, on Monday.
The police however said she was not in the vehicle at the time her Escalade SUV, with registration number FST 914 BL, was shot at, at about 10 pm.
Hmmm! that's funny. This could be staged managed. Yet again, i could be wrong.

Nigeria Committed to Ending Boko Haram Atrocities

The Federal Government has once again reiterated its commitment towards ending the activities of the sects in collaboration with foreign partners.
Prof Ade Adefuye

A statement by Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Prof. Ade Adefuye, Wednesday, said the embassy had countered pressures from religious organisations and politicians in Nigeria and United States for the designation because of the government's twin-track approach of enforcement and dialogue. After which it proscribed the Boko Haram sect.
The statement said that the presence of occasional disturbances in three of Nigeria's 36 states, were not evidence of security lapse in the country, as Nigeria remains a favourite destination for investors and tourists.

Aid pours into Philippines as Obama launches appeal

The United States said relief channels were belatedly opening up to the typhoon-ravaged Philippines on Thursday as President Barack Obama urged Americans to dig deep and other countries upped their aid.
Transport planes, helicopters, ships and medics are in operation or coming from an array of countries in the Asia-Pacific and Europe, with Australia now taking its total aid contribution to Aus$30 million (US$28 million) and deploying extra defence staff to help deal with the disaster.
On the ground in the shattered city of Tacloban and around the central Philippines, survivors are desperately pleading for the basics of life from food and water to clothes and medicines -- and security to protect them from mobs pilfering what little aid is getting through.
US officials said the aid operation was slowly getting into gear after daunting logistical challenges posed by shattered ports, roads and communication infrastructure.
The USS George Washington carrier escorted by two cruisers and a destroyer are steaming towards America's former Asian possession, and Washington has committed $20 million -- roughly half for food and the rest to prevent diseases six days after Super Typhoon Haiyan struck.
"The friendship between our two countries runs deep, and when our friends are in trouble, America helps," Obama said in a statement.

How to Overcome Stage Fright

Even the most confident performers can suffer from stage fright. Stage fright is common for everyone from Broadway actors to professional presenters. If you have stage fright, then you may start to feel nervous, shaky, or even completely debilitated at the thought of performing in front of an audience. But don't worry -- you can overcome your stage fright by training your body and mind to relax and trying a few tricks. If you want to know how to overcome stage fright, just follow these steps.

Overcoming Stage Fright on the Day of the Performance
1
Relax your body. To overcome stage fright, there are a few things you can do to relax your body before going on the stage. Easing the tension from your body can help steady your voice and relax your mind. Here are a few things you can do to relax your body before your performance.[1]
·         Gently hum to steady your voice.
·         Eat a banana before you perform. It will lower that empty or nauseous feeling in your stomach but won't make you feel too full either.
·         Chew gum. Chew gum a little bit to ease the tension in your jaw. Just don't chew gum too long or on an empty stomach or you may upset your digestive system a bit.
·         Stretch. Stretching your arms, legs, back, and shoulders is another great way to reduce the tension in your body.
2
Meditate. On the morning before your performance, or even an hour before, take 15-20 minutes out of your day to meditate. Find a relatively quiet place where you can take a comfortable seat on the ground. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing as you relax every part of your body.
·         Rest your hands on your lap and fold your legs.
·         Try to reach a point where you no longer think about anything besides relaxing your body one part a time -- especially not your performance.

3
Avoid caffeine. Unless you're normally a caffeine addict, don't have extra caffeine on the day of the performance. You may think that it will make you perform with more energy, but it will actually make you feel more nervous and jittery.
4
Set a "stop time" for your anxiety. On the day of your performance, tell yourself that you can allow yourself to be nervous for a certain amount of time, but that after a certain hour -- say, 3 PM -- all anxiety will go out the door. Just setting this goal and making this promise to yourself will make it much more likely to happen.
5
Get some exercise. Exercise releases tension and gets your endorphins going. Make time for at least thirty minutes of exercise on the day of your performance, or at least take a thirty-minute walk. This will get your body geared for an amazing performance.
6
Laugh as much as you can. Watch a comedy in the morning, put on your favorite YouTube video, or just spend the afternoon hanging around the funniest person in your company. Laughing will relax you and take your mind off your nervousness.
7
Get there early. Show up to your presentation earlier than anyone in the audience. You'll feel much more in control if the room is filling up after you arrive instead of showing up to a full house. Showing up early will also ease your nerves and will make you feel less rushed and more at peace.

8
Talk to members in the audience. Some people like to sit in the audience and start chatting with people to get more comfortable. This will make you see that the audience members are just ordinary people like you, and will help you manage your expectations. You can also just sit in the audience as it fills up for a bit without telling anyone who you are -- this will only work if you're not in costume, of course.
9
Imagine your favorite person in the audience. Instead of imagining every person in the audience in their underwear -- which can be a little weird -- imagine that every seat in the audience is filled with a clone of your favorite person. That person loves you and will listen to and approve of anything you say or do. That person will laugh at the right times, encourage you, and clap wildly at the end of the performance.
10
Drink citrus juice. Drinking citrus juice half an hour before your performance can lower your blood pressure and ease your anxiety.
11
Recite the words to your favorite song or poem. Falling into a comfortable rhythm will make you feel more at peace and in control. If you feel comfortable reciting the words to your favorite song or poem, you'll feel more comfortable about delivering your lines with ease and grace.

Fire/ Emergency Escape

A Fire Escape is a staircase or other apparatus used for escaping from a building on fire. Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia defines it as, a special kind of emergency exit, usually mounted to the outside of a building or occasionally inside but separate from the main areas of the building. It provides a method of escape in the event of a fire or other emergency that makes the stairwells inside a building inaccessible. Fire escapes are most often found on multiple-story residential buildings, such as apartment buildings. They are a very important aspect of fire safety for all new construction in urban areas.
A fire escape consists of a number of horizontal platforms, one at each story of a building, with ladders or stairs connecting them. The platform and stairs are usually open steel gratings, to prevent the buildup of ice, snow, and leaves. Railings are usually provided on each of the levels, but as fire escapes are designed for emergency use only, these railings often do not need to meet the same standards as railings in other contexts. A fire escape should be roomy enough to allow enough space for plus size occupants of a building to escape in case of an emergency.

The below pics is what a fire escape shouldn't look like,

Below is what a fire escape should look like rather.
